Session Description: People working in the profession of medical education frequently find that they are hired, offered very little training and are given the responsibility of writing the self-study for re-accreditation. This can be a daunting project. The key to success lies in having a project management strategy and assigning tasks on a timeline for completion. This workshop will guide the early career participants in developing a plan for success to complete the preparation of the self-study and the Performance-in-Practice files. Participants will take home tips and tools to use as they enter into the process of initial accreditation or re-accreditation for physician and/or nursing accreditation.
Successfully navigating the accreditation process is a major career victory and valuable resume building experience. During the Accreditation workshop learners will develop strategies to apply toward successful physician and/or nursing accreditation.
Learning Objectives:
Describe a project management plan that includes tasks on a timeline.
Use tools and resources to help guide the narrative they are writing in the self study.
Ask for specific help from other stakeholders within their organization.
