Unlocking the Potential of Interprofessional Continuing Education Outcomes Evaluation: A 360 Approach (Level 3)

Session Description: The evaluation of continuing education (CE) programs traditionally focuses upon the learner and related evaluations and outcomes. Transitioning from professional development to interprofessional professional development and from CE to interprofessional continuing education (IPCE) requires a change in culture and concurrent changes in process, planning, and assessment in order to influence downstream practice change and advance collaborative practice. Share one team’s journey unlocking the potential of measurement and evaluation through a 360 evaluation process focused on fostering interprofessional competencies and measuring changes in attitudes, knowledge, and competencies of program staff, course directors, planning committee members, and presenters, while assessing participant motivation to change and reflections on practice change. Presenters will share their 360 evaluation strategy including process, tools, concepts, theory, models, and selected findings.
