Planning Educational Programs in Europe: Understanding the Updated EACCME Accreditation Criteria (Level 4)

Session Description: A revised set of accreditation criteria (EACCME 3.0) went into effect in June 2023 and may impact the design, development, and evaluation of certified education being conducted in Europe. This Alliance Annual Meeting 2024 session will feature a review of the updated criteria along with functional insights from a faculty panel representing 3 different Alliance member sections, each with unique perspectives and experiences in CPD.

Learning Objectives:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the new UEMS-EACCME (3.0) criteria for accreditation of live educational events, e-learning, and blended learning activities
  • Differentiate between types of live educational events in Europe that are eligible for accreditation according the updated EACCME criteria
  • Plan educational programs certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ that are eligible for European physician learners to claim ECMEC®s
