Exploration of the changing landscape of CE, board certification and organization recognition in healthcare (Level 4)

This sessions provides an opportunity for advanced CE professionals to explore ideas that foster the success of our healthcare professionals and teams. There are multiple initiatives and expectations for healthcare professionals, teams and organizations that promote, measure, and recognize excellence. The growth of board certification for many healthcare professionals highlights the importance of the roles of accredited providers, accrediting bodies, state licensing boards and all healthcare institutions, organizations and healthcare related companies to create an environment that supports validating and promoting there professions to excel and to maintain the public trust.Additionally, the growth of organization recognition programs further stresses the importance of validating excellence in healthcare and create opportunities for CE professionals to engage in the projects that support these efforts.the questions for consideration include;1) How can CE professionals actively create and engage in educational initiatives that meet the expectations of professional board certification for each of the professions?2) Is there any opportunity for accreditation and board certification bodies to collaborate on the expectations and requirements for board certification?3) What types of CE initiatives/projects can effetively promote both interprofessional collaboration and individual excellence that meet the needs of these certifying agencies? Panelists from the major heath professions and/or accrediting bodies to lead this discussion.

  • Explore challenges and opportunities for innovation and ideas that can support individuals, and teams to excel.
  • Empower advanced CE professionals to consider and/or develop new educational programming and initiatives to foster excellence in health care professionals, and care teams.
