Moving Beyond Traditional Outcomes: Transforming through Social Learning Platforms, Telementoring, and Dynamic EHR Data (Level 5)

Moore’s outcomes for measuring the success of CME programs have been with us for many years and have served the community well. CME is evolving and technology has enabled us to expand our capabilities to measure beyond confidence, competence, and knowledge. What does it look like to move beyond these traditional outcomes? How can we build effective CEhp programs that provide higher level outcomes? Join team members from DKBmed and RealCME as they shared insights on using both qualitative and quantitative outcomes that are dynamic, unique, and offer more insight than a traditional knowledge assessment.

The panel will share quality improvement (QI) initiatives that use EHR (electronic health records) and claims data to demonstrate actual practice change, as well as small group learning programs that offer unique qualitative learner insights.

  • Describe the value of small group learning platforms designed to facilitate higher-level qualitative outcomes.
  • Identify how designing programs that use EHR and claims can achieve higher-level quantitative outcomes.
  • Discuss the steps for designing and implementing higher level quantitative and qualitative outcomes.
