Rachel Barenie is an Assistant Professor at the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy and Assistant Director of the Continuing Professional Development program. She directs the pharmacy law course and Tennessee MPJE review at the college. Prior to joining faculty at UT, Dr. Barenie completed a postdoctoral fellowship in pharmaceutical policy at Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women's Hospital in the Program on Regulation, Therapeutics, and Law ("PORTAL"). She serves as a clinical consultant to Alosa Health, a non-for-profit academic detailing organization, for substance use disorder-related content. Dr. Barenie earned her PharmD from Butler University and her JD and MPH from the University of Memphis.
