ACCME
Dion Richetti, DC is the Vice President of Accreditation and Recognition at the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the nonprofit organization responsible for accrediting institutions that offer continuing medical education (CME) to physicians and other health care professionals. In this position, Dion oversees the ACCME's accreditation and recognition processes for approximately 700 ACCME-accredited providers and 40 Recognized Accreditors (state/territory medical societies). These responsibilities include managing the ACCME’s accreditation and recognition teams, serving as staff to the Joint Accreditation program, as well as contributing to the ACCME's strategic planning, management, quality assurance, and continuous improvement processes.
Dion has 20 years of experience in continuing education of healthcare professionals. He has served in leadership roles at two ACCME-accredited providers, and served as an ACCME volunteer surveyor and field reviewer for the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) prior to joining the ACCME. He currently serves as a commissioner on the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Dion earned a doctorate of chiropractic degree from the National University of Health Sciences and his bachelor of arts degree in biology at Colgate University.
