Charting a Path to Success: Women's Panel on Navigating CME/CPD Careers (Level 1)

Career growth in our industry is heavily boosted by networking and support received from our CME/CPD colleagues. This two-part session will provide a space for women to intentionally connect with one-another regarding career growth in the CME/CPD industry. The Alliance offers many opportunities for networking; however, this session is designed for purposeful networking that allows women to make targeted connections through a fun and interactive format.

Our panel discussion provides a platform for participants to gain practical advice and inspiration from accomplished women in the industry. It is an opportunity to learn from real-life experiences, gather strategies for career advancement, and connect with like-minded individuals passionate about their work in CME/CPD.

Our panelists will represent diverse career pathways in the industry. Panelists have experienced roles in medical education companies, academic medical centers, associations, and/or pharmaceutical companies and navigated between these different sectors. They will speak from their experiences across functions including program management, accreditation, outcomes, grant proposal development and review, needs identification, and more. Through thought-provoking discussions and personal anecdotes, our panelists will explore various aspects of forging a career in CME/CPD as women, including overcoming gender biases, leveraging networking and mentorship, balancing work-life commitments, advocating for advancement, and fostering professional growth.
